I love salmon! I also would like it if they don't go extinct, so there was work to be done in statistical data collection and analysis, since the DFO is woefully failing in it's duties to protect wild fish stocks in British Columbia.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Collect vital statistics and data to attempt to prevent over-fishing and the destruction of all salmon fisheries in BC.
- Liaise with salmon fishing boat captains and crew.
- Locate and identify fish catchments.
- Identify salmon that have survived from fry to full growth and have the tag in their skull.
- Collect and categorize and complete data records for all specimens obtained.
